More than ever, scientists find themselves involved in social discourses, problems and tensions – whether they want to be or not. Proactively shaping these discourses and making clear the significance of one’s own work in and for society seems to me, against this background, to be an integral part of academic work today. In talks and public interventions, I therefore try to contribute to a problem-oriented and inclusive discussion on economic matters.
